ST JOHN CHRISTMAS HOME LOTTERY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
St John Christmas Home Lottery (“Lottery”) is conducted by St John Ambulance Australia SA Inc of 85 Edmund Avenue, Unley SA 5061 (“we”, “us” or “our”). These terms and conditions apply to the conduct of the Lottery. By purchasing a ticket in the Lottery you agree to be bound by these terms and any other terms attached to specific prizes including the terms of redemption. The Lottery is conducted in South Australia under Lottery Licence No: M13724.
KEY DATES AND LOCATION
Start Date – 16 September 2019
Early Bird Prize Draw – 9 December 2019
The Early Bird Prize Draw will be drawn at 10am at PwC, Level 11 70 Franklin Street, Adelaide SA 5000. Only tickets purchased prior to midnight on 2 December 2019 are eligible to participate in the Early Bird Prize Draw. All tickets in the Early Bird Prize Draw will be returned to the ticket pool to be eligible for the Main Draw on 23 December 2019.

Membership Prize Draw – 23 December 2019
All other draws including the Grand Prize Draw and the Membership Prize Draw will be drawn at 10am at PwC, Level 11 70 Franklin Street, Adelaide SA 5000. Ticket sales close at midnight on 18 December 2019. Draws will commence in order of retail value beginning with the prize with the highest retail value until all draws are complete. The Membership Prize Draw will be drawn as the final draw.
Available prize pool of $7,929,585 million. The value of the prize pool is approximate as at the date of print of these terms. A total of 140,000 tickets are available for purchase. A total of 28,150 prizes are up for grabs. A list of all the prizes (including all inclusions and exclusions) and their respective values are available on our website at www.stjohnlottery.com.au. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated. The Lottery only comprises the Early Bird Draw, the Grand Prize Draw and the Membership Prize Draw. Tickets are priced at 1 for $100, 3 for $250 or 5 for $375. Subject to the total number of tickets available, there is no limit on the number of individual tickets a person may purchase. Assuming all tickets are sold, each ticket has an equal 1 in 5 chance of being drawn. We will use all proceeds raised through the Lottery (less costs and expenses) to continue our operations, activities, programs and services to the community.
The Lottery is open to all South Australian residents other than our CEO and paid staff or any partners or employees of PwC. Participants must be 18 years or older.
TICKETS AND PAYMENT
Tickets can be purchased online at www.stjohnlottery.com.au by credit card or PayPal, by phoning the call centre on 1300 WIN HOME or attending at our State office reception at 85 Edmund Avenue, Unley and the house-open days at 14A Burlington Street, Walkerville. Purchases can be made by credit card, cash, cheque and money order at our State office reception at 85 Edmund Avenue Unley.
Orders via cheque will reserve a ticket, which will be supplied upon clearance of the cheque. The tickets in the 3-pack and 5-pack cannot be divided between multiple participants, each of the tickets within the pack must be held by the one participant. Ticket numbers will be printed on a single sheet. We do not accept any responsibility for cheques that have not cleared by the cut-off times for the relevant draws, or any cheques or money orders that we do not receive in time for draw. No cheques or money orders will be accepted within two weeks of either draw. We do not accept any responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the Lottery period nor do we take any responsibility for lost, late or misdirected entries. We are not responsible for any unforeseen technical difficulties with the ordering process and nor do we warrant the availability of the ordering process.
EARLY BIRD WINNER ANNOUNCED
The lucky winner of the Early Bird Prize will be notified by telephone on the date the Early Bird Prize is drawn. The winner will also be announced online at www.stjohnlottery.com.au and printed in The Advertiser on 11 December 2019.
GRAND PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCED
The lucky winner of the Grand Prize will be notified by telephone and email on the date the Grand Prize is drawn. A television announcement will be made on 25 December 2019 on a station and at a time to be determined by us. The Grand Prize winner will also be announced online at www.stjohnlottery.com.au and printed in The Advertiser on 26 December 2019.
VEHICLE AND OTHER WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Vehicle winners will be notified on 23 December 2019 by phone and email. A list of all vehicle winners will be available online at www.stjohnlottery.com.au. All other winners will be notified by email on 26 December 2019. An email will be sent to all participants on 26 December 2019 announcing all prize winners (with a link to the winners list). A list of all winners of prizes valued at $250 or more will also be printed in The Advertiser on 26 December 2019. A complete list of prize winners will be available at www.stjohnlottery.com.au. Details on how to redeem the prizes will be provided at the time of notification. All prizes must be claimed by the winners within 3 months’ of the Grand Prize Draw date. It is the responsibility of each winner to redeem their prize. Any unclaimed prizes will be retained by us to be used in other fundraising campaigns.
Requests for refunds will be accepted prior to midnight on 2 December 2019 upon verification of payment. No refunds will be accepted after this date. Upon processing a refund, the corresponding ticket(s) will become void. Refunds can only be requested by calling 1300 WIN HOME or emailing email@example.com
So that an opportunity to participate in future fundraising campaigns is never missed, by purchasing a ticket each participant has opted to become a member, receive our marketing emails and participate in future lotteries. We will notify each participant at least 1 month prior to the opening of the next lottery. All our email communications will include instructions on how to opt out, including opting out of automatic participation in future lotteries. Participants will be able to opt out at the point of purchase when purchasing tickets online.
The respective value of the prizes detailed below is approximate only as at the date of print of these terms. The market value of the houses included in the Grand Prize and the Early Bird Prize at the time of redemption may be different from the value as stated in these terms and at www.stjohnlottery.com.au due to fluctuations in the Australian housing market. The value of the other prizes at the time from redemption may also be different from their stated value in these terms and at www.stjohnlottery.com.au. The winner is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated value of the prize and the actual value of the prize at the time of redemption. Details of all prizes listed herein are also available at www.stjohnlottery.com.au. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. No cash equivalents are available. Prizes will be awarded to the individual named on the official lottery ticket issued. Letters and notifications will be addressed to the individual named on the official lottery ticket.
The Grand Prize is valued at $3,886,284 and comprises a fully furnished Samuel James Homes Walkerville home valued at $2,837,105, a Mercedes A-class A180 car valued at $49,179 and $1,000,000 cash. The Grand Prize is inclusive of all stamp duty and on-road costs other than insurance.
EARLY BIRD PRIZE
The Early Bird Prize is valued at $500,450 and comprises a Holiday Home at Goolwa North valued at $420,000, a Clark Navigator 435 Runabout Boat valued at $28,950, a $50,000 spending spree voucher with Harvey Norman Gepps Cross and a $1,500 spending spree voucher with Pelican Marine & RV. The Early Bird Prize is inclusive of all stamp duty and on-road costs other than insurance. Only tickets purchased prior to midnight on 2 December 2019 are eligible to participate in the Early Bird Prize Draw.
All members will be entered into a draw to win $10,000 cash.
To be eligible for the membership prize, members must have a valid ticket in the Lottery and have agreed to be a member for our future home lotteries as at the deadline of the current Lottery. Membership can be cancelled at any time. If membership is cancelled prior to midnight on 18 December 2019, the ticket holder will not be eligible to participate in the draw for the membership prize.
There are 17 vehicles able to be won comprising 2 x Land Rover Velar P250 cars valued at $93,811 each, 5 x Sea-Doo Spark 2UP 2019 jet skis with trailers valued at $10,295 each, 5 x Harley Davidson Iron 883 motorbikes valued at $15,995 each and 5 x Cub Explorer Caravans valued at $23,990 each. All vehicles will be awarded inclusive of all on-road costs except insurance.
There are 10 International Holidays to destinations including the United States of America, France, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Maldives, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the Mediterranean to be won. The, total combined prize value of all overseas holidays is $106,391. Unless otherwise stated, holidays do not include spending money or any other expenses. Winners are responsible for traveling with a valid passport (including with the requisite period of validity remaining) and obtaining and paying for relevant visas, entry permits and any other immigration requirements. Winners are solely responsible for payment of all fines, expiation notices or other penalty imposed by any foreign government authority associated or connected with the holiday.
There are 10 iconic South Australian experiences to be won. The total combined prize value for South Australian experiences is $15,622. South Australian destinations include the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Kangaroo Island, the Flinders Rangers and the Murray River. Unless otherwise stated, South Australian experience prizes do not include spending money, transport to the experience destination or any other expenses.
There are 410 various items to be won including electrical equipment from Harvey Norman Gepps Cross. The total combined prize pool of all leisure items is $74,240. A complete list of items is available at www.stjohnlottery.com.au.
There are $10,000 worth of $50 Drake Supermarkets vouchers to be won and used at participating Drake Supermarket Stores in South Australia. Drake Supermarket vouchers will be posted to each winner.
There are 6,000 premium wine packs to be won valued at $99.95 each. Wine packs will be posted to each winner.
There are 2,500 First Aid Kits valued at $49.95 each, 7,000 Provide First Aid course vouchers valued at $189 each, 6,000 CPR course vouchers valued at $65 each and 6,000 Caring for Kids course vouchers valued at $75 each to be won. Course vouchers will be emailed to each winner and First Aid Kits will be posted to each winner.
Each prize winner indemnifies us and keeps us indemnified against all claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses suffered or incurred by us, PwC or any third party arising out of a breach of these terms by the participant.
