There is a total of 189,000 tickets available for sale, with an available prize pool of $8,348,520

  • 1 for $100
  • 3 for $250
  • 5 for $375
  • 7 for $500

How can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased;

  • Online at www.stjohnlottery.com.au (by credit card or PayPal)
  • By phoning the St John Christmas Home Lottery call centre on 1300 946 466
  • In person by credit card, cash, cheque or money order at St John Ambulance SA State Office at 85 Edmund Avenue, Unley SA 5061
  • Post your cheque or money order along with the ticket order form to St John Ambulance SA State Office, 85 Edmund Avenue, Unley SA 5061
  • The house-open days as advertised at www.stjohnlottery.com.au (credit card only, no cash is kept on premises)

How long will it take to receive my ticket(s)?

For purchases made online at www.stjohnlottery.com.au:

Ticket(s) will be emailed to the ticket purchaser’s email address nominated in the checkout shortly after the purchase is complete.

For purchases made via the call centre:

Ticket(s) will be emailed to the ticket purchaser’s email address nominated in the checkout shortly after the purchase is complete.

  • Please ensure you check your Junk or Spam folder before calling 1300 946 466 if the ticket has not arrived via email within 30 minutes after purchase

For purchases made at the St John Ambulance Lottery Office or State Office :

Ticket(s) will be emailed to the ticket purchaser’s email address nominated in the checkout shortly after the purchase is complete.

A printed copy of the ticket(s) can be made available on request.

For purchases where tickets are sent in the post:

Ticket(s) are posted via Australia Post and will be subject to their delivery timelines.

For purchases made by cheque or money order:

Ticket(s) will be posted following the clearance of cheques/money orders. The ticket(s) will be posted via Australia Post and will be subject to their delivery timelines.

How many prizes are available and what are the odds of winning?

Within the $8,348,520 prize pool, there are a total of 13,768 prizes to be won, including a $5.2 Million Grand Prize, $1,188,850 in major Weekly Prizes and $822,325 for Members in the Membership Draw.

There are 189,000 tickets available for purchase, representing a 1 in 14 chance of winning a prize in the Main Draw.

What is included in the Grand Prize this year?

The Grand Prize for the Main Draw features the below. Tickets must be purchased by the deadline of 11:59pm Sunday December 10. The Grand Prize is drawn in the Main Draw on Wednesday December 13. The winner will be required to choose between 2 options. The 2 options of the Grand Prize are:

OPTION A:
A fully furnished West Lakes Home valued at approximately $4,724,520, a Premium wine cellar valued at approximately $60,480, a Porsche Cayenne valued at $165,390 and $250,000 cash. The total Grand Prize Package value is approximately $5,200,390;

OR

OPTION B: $4,500,000 cash to be deposited into an Australian bank account nominated by the winner.

For the avoidance of any doubt, the winner of the Grand Prize package may only choose ONE of either Option A or Option B as set out above. The choice of Grand Prize must be evidenced in writing by the winner. Upon selection of either Option A or Option B, the winner is unable to change their selection.

How do the daily Cashtember Draws work?

The Cashtember Prize Draws comprise a total of $400,000 in cash prizes. There will be 20 Draws for a $20,000 cash prize each. Each draw will take place every weekday at 10:00am from and including Monday 4 September and conclude on Friday 29 September. All tickets purchased from the start of the Lottery till the previous business day of each Cashtember Draw up until 11:59pm will be included in the daily draws. Cashtember Draws conducted each Monday will include all tickets purchased up until 11:59pm the Sunday prior.

How do the Weekly Draws work?

Each week, all purchased tickets go in to a Weekly Prize Draw (refer “Key Dates to Remember” above for deadlines).

Get your tickets early to maximise the number of draws your ticket(s) are entered in to. Your ticket(s) could enter up to 10 major prize draws with a total 26 prizes drawn! The total weekly draw pool is valued at over $1,188,850.

How does the Member Draw work?

The Member Prize Draw comprises a Hindmarsh Island Waterfront Holiday home including $100,000 Cash appropriating a total value of $822,325.

To be eligible for the membership prize, members must have a valid ticket(s) in the current lottery and have agreed to be a member for our future home lotteries at the point of ticket purchase.

Tickets must be purchased by the deadline of 11:59pm Sunday December 10. The Grand Prize is drawn in the Main Draw on Wednesday December 13.

Participants will be able to opt out of becoming a member at any time. If this is done before the Member Prize Draw then they will not be included in the Member Draw.

Member Prize

Week 1 Major Weekly Draw Prize

The Beachside Holiday home in Encounter Bay is due for completion in 2024. Shortly after the winner is announced, per the Terms & Conditions, the winner will receive the title to the land and a prepaid building contract.

Who is eligible to purchase tickets?

Ticket holders must be 18 years or older. The Lottery is open to all Australian residents other than any of the following, who are ineligible to purchase tickets in any capacity:

  • any board member, committee member or staff member at St John Ambulance Australia SA Ltd; or
  • any HLB Mann Judd employee or partner

What is the benefit of becoming a Member?

Members are eligible for the $822,325 member’s prize draw, comprising of a Hindmarsh Island Waterfront Holiday home and $100,000 in cash. PLUS, becoming a member ensures you never miss out, by way of a ticket(s) being reserved for members in future lotteries.

Members can make changes to their membership by emailing St John Ambulance SA on [email protected], or phoning 1300 WIN HOME.

What is the process to request a refund?

Requests for refunds will only be accepted prior to 5:00pm Friday 1 September 2023 upon verification of payment. No refunds will be accepted after this date. Upon processing a refund, the corresponding ticket(s) will become void.

If I win, how can I claim my prize?

Each winner will be notified with information on how to redeem their prize.

All prizes must be claimed by the winners within 3 months of the Grand Prize Draw date.

St John Ambulance Australia SA Ltd will make multiple attempts to contact each winner regarding redemption of prizes.

All fees relating to stamps duty and transfer of the homes on offer will be paid for by St John Ambulance Australia SA Ltd. Settlement may take up to a few weeks.

How are proceeds raised from the lottery used?

Proceeds go directly towards supporting the charitable activities of St John Ambulance Australia SA Ltd. These activities include; training thousands of SA volunteers in first aid skills, training and equipment in response to state emergencies, training life saving first aid skills to primary school students, and supporting the volunteer divisions across South Australia.
